Tickfaw

I got off work early today and took a short trip to the tickfaw river, fished 2 hours caught 2 fish. both fish were caught close to a smaller canal, fished around camp piers and pilings, didn't catch any there, there is cypress trees everywhere on both side of the river. so beating the banks could be good if you have all day! I figured I'd spend more time at the canals going into the river, not much to show for it. any advice from anyone who fishes the tickfaw I only fish it a couple times a year.

That's about what we catch there unless you go up the lil natalbany river, there is a bend before it gets narrow with a bunch of cypress that you can get back into. Usually use chrome n blue rattle or buzzbait. Beating the banks down the natalbany usually net us a few as well. Also just as you pass the camps down the blood river on the right is some sunken structure to pull sacs from.

I usually don't fish there because of the speed boats but I've seen a few good reports. I might just go a little further and start fishing manchac.
