Calcasieu River

Slung around 15 this eve. on the river. Moving water and, bait presentation are playing a big roll in catching fish here lately. Watched people fish every angle of my culverts and did not see them boat one fish. Went right behind them throwing topwaters and waxed them. Is it logical? No. Warm day, fish busting inside culverts, and moving water made it logical though. Fish were picky as to how the bait was worked, but slow it down and they will explode.
Water is still stained on westfork. Catching lots of solid fish.

Good luck.

What was the squealer count?

huntin fool 12-29-2011 10:04 PM

The squealer count is staying healthy. Getting bigger each day, just waiting for the right time.

Take exit 36 off of I-10. Go north til you get to the T. Turn right and go 1 to 1 1/2 miles. The park will be on your left. Good luck!
