Fishing north of Sam Houston

Is it good bass fishing north of Sam Houston park or do most of the good bass come from the main river, like West Fork or White oak? I haven't fished much fresh water around moss bluff, mostly saltwater. I've rode north past the park on a jet ski and the river is really nice back there, but not much water moving through. Just wondering if it holds fish back in there

you can defintly catch fish north of the park. Houston river is even good at times. ive fished houston river when the water was pouring out of all the cuts and have done real well. there is a big cut heading up north toward holbrooks park before you get to the bridge, ive done good there too.
