Check NOAA, saw earlier today that there was chance of flooding up there.
Will definitely be high water, possibly rising which will make it tougher.

Johnathon. Bun****s creek (200 yards behind my house) is extremely flooded. Water is about 150 yards over the top of the creek banks

Had a great day on the water. Caught 8 nice size bass and 22 white perch. The water was high but clear. Caught the Sacs on a small red rattle trap and bass on soft plastics.

Good job on catchin' today !!! Calcasieu looked like YooHoo, water was over the dock @ White Oak and flowing fast...

Gerald 02-20-2012 11:41 PM

The Calcasieu river is going to be above flood stage for the next several days, but not quite as high as last week.

Sorry Jordan! My phone is an office phone and doesn't allow pic sharing. Thanks for the heads up Hydro. I was about to drive up to White Oak and see how the water was doing. Not real concerned about the color just want it to subside. I am very anxious to get on the river and hit some spawn areas I found last year. I love those Bass Kandi lures on the river!!!

Water is much better on West Fork, but high.

Johnathan, where abouts did u fish ?? Thinking about a trip this weekend

Hydro 02-21-2012 07:43 PM

How long would ya'll guesstimate it will take for the river to get back to "normal" levels ?

I just started fishing it last year and the drought spoiled me :D ... Never had to worry about these fluctuations...

Thanks
