Anyone catching crawfish ?
 

Just wondering if anybody had a pretty good area around the bayou benoit or charenton area to set out some traps i only have 12 and would like to catch about a sack any tips would be helpful trying to set them out next wednesday morning and pick them up thurs morning? Can you set traps in lake martin it seems like a good place to get some mudbugs would like to just test the process out thurs and pick them up on fri

trying to use shad, bream, or mullet for bait maybe pogy as well if can catch any are the lock open in butte larose ?

At this time of the year, if you catch a full sack overnight in 12 traps, go buy several hundred more traps! You'll be loaded!

Fishing will likely be slow for another month or so which is why they're so dang expensive right now.

There is a shop in Sulphur (road side shop) on 27 that sells boiled crawfish, we went by there the other day, $5.25 per pound....
