Mac or PC

Dont know if this has ever been asked so he it is would you buy a Mac or a PC. I currently have a Mac and having been having it for about 6 years and never had a problem and have been thinking of getting another for my small business which will be used for dealing with a lot of pictures, videos, word and excel documents. It PC which brand and why would be helpful.

seems like you have already answered your question...

MAC

There is no real comparison. If the cost of a MAC does not scare you away, get one. Two things that generally scare people away is the price and the different operational systems. Since you already are using one, that will not be an issue. From business to personal, the MAC will far out last and out perform any PC on the market. I have been in business for 23 years and have paid tons of money, some wasted, for "expert" computer advice. The best advice I ever received was switching all my personal and business operations to Apple.

I have a Mac Book that was a hand me down from my folks and I really like it. My only beef with a Mac is that it seems to take a few extra clicks to accomplish certain things compared to a PC. Mostly in the file management area.

I must be the lone PC guy in here.

Macs are cooler.........and the Mac store is usually loaded with hot babes and smokin hot moms.

If every phone in my house was an iphone and we had an ipad I would definitely get a mac, but a pc gets the job done for me.

mac

We are currently converting our househole to alll macs. I bought a macbook last year, and I'm sold. I also have an Ipad. Love it. Apple all the way. I'll never buy a virus catcher again

Always had PCs, but wife swears by the Mac. She uses them in her classrooms and loves em. Everyone I know that has a Mac swears by em, most people that hate on them have never owned one is what I have noticed. 'Mac people' are very loyal to the Mac, almost as loyal as Ron Paul supporters:)

My son's first name is Mac, but that has nothing to with anything

:sent from my PC

I've always been a pc guy and see no reason to swap over. Most people that have issues with viruses on pc's do so because they do not bother to read the pop-ups that appear on the screen and just click away. Another reason these same people have issues is because their systems are not kept up to date.

The main reason people do not have much of an issue with viruses on Macs is because the people writing the viruses don't bother with the small number of MAC users. No bang for the buck! Infect millions or infect thousands, what would you do?

Apple/MAC users are extremely loyal, that's for sure.

16 years of Macs

The company I work for has always used macs, I have been here 15 years and everyone here also has them at home. As someone else stated, if the money isn't an option, go with the mac. I am sitting at my 27" monitor now and absolutely love it. I would also recommend going to a Mac store, not Best Buys. We have dealt with both and you get way more knowledge from Mac Stores than Best Buy. We have been there done that. Just my opinion. Not sure where you are located but there is a place in Beaumont that we have dealt with since they started with Macs, called Computer Dimensions, very reliable and very good at what they do. We are located in Jennings and deal with them. As I say, just my 2 cents.

I agree with that. I have a PC that was a college graduation present in 2003. I always kept up on the virus definitions and various spyware removal programs. I made sure to always clear out the temporary stuff as well. The PC still runs like a top almost ten years later.

I bought my macbook and IPAD2 from computer dimensions in bmt. Knowledgable folks and very helpful.. Plus with Apple's standardized pricing there is absolutely no price difference between a local shop like computer dimensions and a big box store like best buy.
