chicot being chicot

went to chicot sunday to try and stretch my line and the only thing that got stretched was my patience. fished hard from south end to north from about nine to three with two small bites and not one fish, but my little bro managed to catch the biggest pike ive ever seen prolly three foot long, the teeth were about 1/4 of an inch! ima get em next time!:help:

that lake is the reason i bought a bay boat i could drive 30 minutes and might not catch anything or an hour to saltwater and double my chances

I been to Chicot with a buddy 2 or 3 times and never caught a fish. My buddy has caught some big ones in there though.

When I got on the Sac-a-lait on Chicot a few years back it was from about 4:30-Dark. It was realllly good. I have had some stinker days out there, so I feel ya there.

On a side note. I believe there are chain pickerel in Chicot, not pike. The state record is 5.2 pounds.

That lake and miller's lake made me do the very same thing, no regrets

We caught about 15 filetable size bluegill on Friday???? Really early for that. Proof of the warm winter I guess. Caught 2 nice sac-a-lait. That was it. Caught a lot of fish, just small. Great day to be on the water though, had a good time. Looking forward to our Saline-Larto trip in a couple of weekends.

sledgehammer 03-22-2012 09:41 AM
