Lake Livingston

I have a friend that has a cabin on Lake Livingston in Texas and offered me to go spend a weekend there, my question is if anyone here knows anything about the lake like how is the fishing, they also said they have jet-ski's and a partybarge but it would be nice to fish the lake also, any info would be appreciated.

We caught white bass under working birds much like specs however we were trolling like you would offshore, chrome rattle traps were the ticket, by the way this was +10 yrs ago, maybe one of our fellow texans can give some current advice

We use to troll the old 190 road bed ditches with hellbenders & Pet spoons tied on the end about a foot past the hellbender, trolled right off the bottom. Charlie slabs is another popular lure that you jig off the bottom, we mainly fished them on the flats. I have only fished there for white bass.
