Coona$$ tack weld

After a rough couple of days in lacassine, Instead of resting, I decided to try and push my luck in the ponds off the intercoastal. So I lauched the boat and as I was pulling the trailer out the water I could hear some thing dragging. looked back and the damn thing was nearly broken in half. Bout a 1/4 of metal holding was all that was holding the tongue to the back half. Luckily we were able to Macgyver us a patch out of a landscaping timber and a cow bone. Made it 30 miles back to the shop like that... haha

thats random, oh hey there's a cow bone, lets use that to fix it.

make sure you grind all the galvanizing off before you try to re-weld it

Good job. Same thing happened to me at Rockefeller. You just got to make due with what you have. We used a couple of pieces of board. One on either side of the break. Angled the tongue up toward the sky, and bolted the two boards together......I used it like that for a couple of trips actually.

Nice work.....can I call you to work on my boat????
