Reds on Fly

1 Attachment(s)
Made a trip today with Outcast (aka) Ryan. What an awesome day to be on the water! Weather was perfect and the gnats and mosquitos were none existent. Summer is in the air and the redfish were feeling it. We saw fish today that had almost their entire bodies out of the water craning to get anything that moved. We started the morning out with Ryan landing a nice red on a topwater fly and watching what seemed like an endless supply of fish frolic in the Spring sunshine. We must have seen well over a 100 redfish and 50 sheepshead today with an occasional black drum and garfish thrown in for good measure. The reds are starting to school up and the grass is starting to grow so hold on because the explosive action of summertime is here!

Man, that's awesome! We had a red LITERALLY tailing 1 foot off the nose of the boat today. My brother kept hitting it in the face with a fresh gulp and it just got pissed and swam off!! IDK what the deal was but we couldn't get a fish to bite

It was an epic day for sure. Beautiful weather, perfect conditions , brand new bad *** skiff , and good company. It couldnt be beat. That red in the picture was crawling a mud flat in about 4" of water. Of course i made a perfect cast with a top water gurgler and exploded on it! It was a beautiful sight. We saw and caught many more! We must of cast at at least 50 sheepshead, couldnt get one to eat. Those fish are so damn frustrating! Thanks again for the trip Lucas, cant wait to get out there again!

The only picture i got with my crappy phone
