Bust in Leeville

Went down for the day yesterday to take advantage of this beautiful weather. Wind was very light out of the SW. Every stop we made was full of bait but no fish. Started off the day at deep bayou then drifted around to bayou blue with no luck. Moved to the south texaco fields. Same story there. We then headed to the east side to the Williams canal. Water was still dirty there to and no fish. Finished the day by bayou lafourche at the bridge. A lot of boats were running around the same as we were. At boudreauxs, the fish cleaning station had little action with a couple of guys cleaning 2 bull reds they managed to pull in at East Timbalier. Spoke with Terry and that seemed to be the story of everyone for the day. Very discouraged, but that's why they call it fishing and not catching. Ready to regroup and make another trip soon.

Saltwater fishing is my passion. I'll never give up at it. Just wish I could find those real productive spots. We did drift little lake a little but not much.

Fish the North West end. There is a good drop off if the water is ever low.when you go you will see what I mean. Good luck.

Tell Terry Benjy said Hi.

Next time I see terry I'll let him know. But I've never tried fishing the NW side. Didn't realize it had deep water. Usually we always run to bayou rosa or head to the SW

The bank slope like other places then just drops off. A few years ago the water was super low and I saw the bank drop off. When the water is clean you can see it. I've watched big schools of fish cruising along that drop off many times. It's a hard bottom there and lots of oysters too.
