You could buy a new truck with the money that some of them cost

Leases

Cheap 10-15K, have some in our area up to 35K. It has become freak'n ridiculous. This is boat access only, build your own blinds. Worst part there is a line of check books waiting to pounce.

I know someone who bidded 20k for a section and got outbidded by 25k by a hunting club.

well i picked up a section this year and just let me tell u i thought deer hunting involved money put it this way i could be blinging a nice boat in a few years but i did it for the kids and grandkids.thats my story any ways

i remember when in Cameron Parish you could find a nice lease for around a thousand dollars and it was big enough you could split it five ways. Now it has gotten insane.

Looking for a new duck lease in Cameron Parish

I have a theory about finding a blind. Talk to people who hunt ducks, especially older guys and show up right after the funeral and offer the widow some cash. I have a few guys who joke about me showing up at their funeral trying to lease their blinds.

What I'm saying is to ask everyone you know hunts ducks. And you will have to lease some crappy spots just to get a foot in the door with the land owner. PM me in a few weeks and I may know of some spots in Holly Beach area that may be available.

Is anywhere around cameron or laccasine on public land worth trying this year or is it too crowded down this way. I just moved back in the area been in Alabama since Rita came thru

went hunting 2 times in the holly beach area last year. didnt even have a bird near us. went a little farther north..... birds everywhere. my friend paid 5k for one blind.

I know of a few gar holes that come open on our lease every year in holly beach.
