no such thing as a free launch there... you can launch off the side of the road into the marsh off hwy 1 by one of the bridges though

it doesn't have to be free, but i only have 2 arms and 2 legs, but going to launch atleast 3 times, haha boat launch can't be too expensive what do they charge to launch a boat out there

oh in that case Bridgeside Marina on the west end of the island and Sand Dollar on the east end. There is also Gulf Stream about two miles from the bridge, but watch out cause there launch is steep and certain trailers will scrape coming over the top unless you go up the very middle of the ramp. I think its $5 to launch and thats good for all day as many times as you want

They have a public launch in fourchon but I dont think they have one in Grand Isle.

Launches at Bridgeside Marina, Sandollar Marina and Gulfstream Marina. You can rent a slip at Bridgeside and just leave your boat in the water. That's what we do. Beats having to keep pulling it out and re-launching. Either $15 or $20/day. We'll be there from June 1st-5th and have 2 slips already reserved.

safety always first Mike, i am a capable boater, and never put my boat in a situation it can't handle, i will be spending most time in side protected waters around grand isle, but i will not pass up an opportunity to head to deeper waters if the weather is right, i appreciate your concern
