Tractor advice

There is a tractor that I'm thinking of buying and want yalls input on the situation. The tractor is a 2008 NEW HOLLAND it's a 40 hp 4x4 with no loader. It has 1330 hours on it and previous owner was a construction company. Tractor runs and looks great just not sure on price And how bad was it treated. They were asking 10,900 but have come down to 9,500. I'm thinking
Of offering 8,500 and have a loader put on it. What y'all think deal or no deal.

I personally would not buy a tractor without a loader, so useful

I'm gonna put one one it if I buy it. Just a LIL scared of the price.

Tractors in the 40 horse range hold a very high resale value I would say that's not a bad price as that's a 20 grand tractor new.

The thing that scares me about buying from a construction company is that you don't know who the hell was operating that thing or what it has been through...

I agree....and New Holland hold their value. I actually thought the price was a good price but I have not checked the blue book value.

Search around on the web for some sites that sell tractors and that may help ease your mind.

Tip=a good deal is a state of mind....if you like it and the price is right buy it.....if it doesnt seem right find another one...good luck, do your homework before you buy...

new holland is a good machine. i have a tc40 with about 4,000 hours on it and only problems ive had with it are some relays needed to be changed. that being said id be hesitant to buy from a construction company as usually when someone runs other peoples equipment they dont care of it like they would if it was theirs.

Pretty much all the big name tractors are good tractors and their fairly tough and can take quite a bit of abuse.. We have had a Kunitz for 15 years and gave it plenty of abuse through the years and never had one lick of trouble, except the time we flipped it lol. We sold it to get four wheel drive with a loader, we ended up getting a massey ferguson and it's a equally good machine. Like I said kinda personnel preference of features but I don't think u can go wrong with any of the big name tractors

I would definitely be iffy about it being from a contractor, i think a loader will run you around 4k on something like that
