Grand Isle Geaux Pass
It's almost time for Grand Isle. I know quite a few of you are going on the 1st - we are too. Just a reminder - don't forget to get your Geaux Pass. I know there are some who are making the trip for the first time. You can get your pass online instead of having to stop at a kiosk. That's what we do - much more convenient. I already got ours. They are good for a one-time use from mid-May to mid August. Don't remember the exact dates. So if you change the date you're going and already got your pass, you're still good to go. Here's a link to the website:

there are 4 - 5 places on the way down where you can purchase go pass.
It is a $25 fine for not paying and will go up to $65 if you don't pay. Also MAKE SURE and come to a COMPLETE stop at the junction of the toll road and La1 if you are on the stop part. Another tip ,MAKE SURE that on the hwy in Golden meadow drive a mile or 2 under the speed limit. Also going into grand isle before you get to the bridge you will see a small flashing light on the right and a 25 mph speed limit sign. DO IT!!! it drops from 50 mph to 25 mph and most of the time they run radar in this area. Same thing if you drive down the island past where the camp is (east) goes from 45 to 25 . No use to pay the toll to the troll!!! |
Wetaline, you're gonna have to get up with all of us while we are down there! Drop one of us some contact info so we can meet up one afternoon!
|
Just drop your tailgate and drive on thru. Cameta cant get your plate that way
