BL 5/18 and 19
 

Took an old friend this weekend that has never fished BL or anywhere in La. before. Soon as I arrived at the Camp, my neighbor comes over to tell me about there Thursday trip. They had a box full of 2-6 pounders from offshore. Started out Friday in the channel and picked up a few. Hauled it to the cove and immediately got on some nice Trout. Had to leave them biting since my OLD friend was getting hot. Ended up with 10 Trout and 10 Reds. All caught on Live bait and Deadly Dudly Terror Tails.
Got up early Saturday to find my friend still tired and burnt. He decided to stay in and soak up the A/C . He is 65, so I didn't bust his chops too hard. Went back to the spot and picked up 12 solid Trout 2-4 pounds in about an hour. Would have pounded them if I had couple guys with me. Bait of choice was Skitterwalks and Catch 2000. The bite was as aggressive as I have ever seen.

Going back this weekend with the Family. My son is coming in from College and is :pissed:fired up ! He said he is going to catch him some Trouts.

He has a camp over in Hackberry, near Joe Dugas Landing.

Reason I asked cuz I helped a fellow get his boat out the water at dugas and he had camp canard on his shirt. Seemed like a really nice fellow.

I met Calcutta for the first time at Browns Thursday. Red Tuna Shirt sparked the conversation. Wish I had that Haynie parked at my Camp. That baby is FINE !
