Chopper Down

Just heard a chopper went down outta grand isle. Anyone know what heliport/company the chopper was flying? Any details on survivors. Praying that all there are no casualties. My father was in a chopper crash in the 80s. The rotor flew off the chopper and it went into a tailspin missing a rig tower by 15 or so feet crashing into the gulf. He was the last one out who survived.
Hate to hear of this and always wishing u guys who work offshore a safe return home to your families!

Now that I have kids I get nervous flying, didnt bother me when i was younger, but driving to work is probably more dangerous than the flight. Hope the pilot is found safe. I know a Bristow pilot told me a while back all their life jackets that pilots wear have GPS tracking. Don't know if there is any truth to that though.

Bad thing about flying is when one goes down you hear about it...but if you look at the over all hours of helicopter flights in the gulf per day
..its about the safest way possible
