Grand Cheniere 6/2
Fished out of the Mermentau river. Weatherman was calling for seas 1 foot or less--yea right. Winds blowing out of the east 10 to 15 so we headed west. Water was muddied up due to the 2 foot chop with an occasional 3 foot roller thrown in. Fished 3 or 4 rigs. No luck -- headed back in at 15 miles per hour due to the choppy seas into the wind. Fished the bridge in the Mermentau but only caught a few rat reds and catfish.

It's always worst than they forecast,if they give 5-10 knots add them together and it will be close to that. Thanks for the report.

My buddy had just went out there last weekend with less wind and the same result. Not sure how many rigs they went to but they only caught big gaftops and one red at the bridge.
