WE used Speckdaddys for a push pole..
He rubbed me wrong the 1st time when he said he would donate a rod for free on a raffle ....then the winner had to pay over $100 for shipping and other crap he added to a Free Rod(of the winners choice )
So the Free rod cost over $100

yea thats junk there. I mean most of us will drop well over 100 on a rod but there are alot of people that wont even spend close to that for a rod. and to win one and then be expected to pay 100 for it is just junk

Yep I was pissed...I think J.W. won it......When I heard that crap i knew I was done with him..he keep wanting me to buy a rod just to try...
I told him at least...(REAL # of times) 25 times...... make me the lightest 6,10 rod you have and send it for Free...If I like it ill think about buying but that is the only way...
His last bid was $90 bucks and I pay shipping..LOL..Never got a rod

Only good thing about it was it was super light weight. Action was more suited for tuna fishing than trout and reds. Told him several times I wanted a medium action. No where close to what I wanted. Not to mention the reel seats he uses are junk and don't hold your reel tight. When I told him about it he said just wedge a some paper under the seat to tighten it up. Guess he does not realize paper falls apart when wet. When I called him about the broken rod he said I will make you a killer deal.....180 to replace the rod. LOL

if you really think about it, I'm sure people in his area are hip to his quality because all his sales and stuff are off of texas and louisiana fishing sites. nothing on any florida sites. soo why would a "great" rod builder be selling all his rods 3 states away instead of in his own state
