question?
If my mom lost her fishing licence and her drivers licence and cant get a duplicate licence until monday at the dmv or even later will the game wardens have a way to make sure she has a licence? We will be in Grand Isle tomorrow through wed and the closest dmv is in Golden Meadow, and we would prefer to not have to drive back there if we dont have to. Any oppinions or advice?

I wouldn't worry about it. They can run her name and see that she does have a license. Just make sure she brings her ss card or bank cards or some proof of ID. I would like to think a GW would take it easy on an older woman.
|
since the license expire at the end of this month she may be able to get the 2112 -2113 license.

I wouldn't count on the GW's 'looking it up', as the law states that you must have a valid fishing license in your posession..
from the WLF website: http://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/licenses/fishing
"A recreational fisherman must purchase and have in possession a valid basic recreational fishing license to possess fish in Louisiana waters or to use the following:- Bow and arrow
- A barbed or barbless spear
- Frog gig/catcher
- Scuba Gear
- Hook & line (trot line)
- Cast net with a radius not to exceed 8 ft. 6 in.
- Rod and reel"
I'd think she's ok this weekend with the free fishing weekend, but come Monday, :work:

You're fine. She can give them her DL# and they can run it from that. Happens every year with my wife
