6/10/12 vb

Well I braved the elements yesterday morning at 6:00AM got to the Point only 4 trucks in the parking lot and me made 4, this should have been a "CLUE". Not raining when we got there made the short run to Cove, 5mins into it, BAM, speck in the boat, then shortly there after got RAINED ON HARD, my bones even got wet....LOL, didn't last very long about 10mins, and it was gone, but left the wind with it. Moved and went to trash pile, caught 1 short speck, 11.5" Long and numerous croakers, kept a few of the bigger ones, fished the banks in Weeks Bay notta, went and fished a couple marsh canals off Shark Bayou and managed three keeper reds and my padna had one real nice one come off at the boat. Ended the day with 1 Trout, 3 Reds, and a handful of croakers. The squalls moved in from the Gulf all morning long one after another, but about 2:00pm it cleared pretty good and got a lil sunshine for the afternoon, albeit too windy it was nice to be on the water. No pics yet have to download em.

Thanks for the VB report. I almost went but didn't feel like dodging the pop-up storms.

at least you got to catch some fish! We almost went, but I didn't want to get caught in any of the squalls. They have been pretty ugly in New Iberia, so we went bass fishing. Hopefully this weekend we'll have some nice weather. I can't wait to go hit the trout again
