iPad
Anyone use their iPad as gps in their boat ? If so what app and what kind of mount?

I don't use it on the boat but I do have the navionics app, very detailed. I have a 3G iPad, would it work out of cell range as a gps??

Yes if you buy the gps plug in for it. Have not tried it buy curious

i pad for gps in the boat, $500 piece of equipment that is not water proof in a boat, don't sound like a good idea to me

They make some darn nice waterproof cases that float. Getting one myself for work
