Is that 00:01 on the 17th or midnight on the 17th. I believe it is midnight on the 16th.

calcutta37 06-30-2012 05:31 AM

12:01 am local time on the 17th

latravcha 06-30-2012 06:47 AM

Is this just louisianan or the entire gulf

CHUM STAIN 06-30-2012 12:17 PM

It's for federal waters, so that would mean the entire Gulf.

So basically, on July 16.

Wouldn't it be easier to just say July 16? Does anyone think there could possibly be confusion if they said "closes on July 16".

Whereas there is obviously confusion with saying "closes on July 17 (at 12:01am)"

By the way, I should have also said...

...glad to hear this news. It will give me one more snapper trip (weather permitting).

You can bet they will be checking boats on the 17th. I knew this but I just wanted somebody else to confirm so there would be no question.

Thanks Calcutta37
