2012 Wounded Warrior “Battle on the Bayou” softball game
Saturday – July 14, 2012
McMurry Park, 300 Havel St, Sulphur, LA 70663
Space is limited; Deadline to register is July 9, 2012
Cajun Cook-off Guidelines


WHAT TO COOK:
  • Teams may cook an entree of their choice.
  • Each team must bring all utensils, equipment and ingredients for their dish.
  • Teams will not have electrical or water access.
  • Each team should be able to serve a minimum of 300 people (small portions).

SET UP GUIDELINES:
  • All teams will be assigned a designated “spot”. (location map to be provided)
  • No vehicles are allowed to remain in this area after the unloading of your equipment has taken place. There will be a designated parking area for teams.
  • Park/WM personnel will be at the park around 11:00 AM to assist with directions and set up.
  • Teams must provide their own tent.
  • The event ends promptly at 6:00 pm.

JUDGING:
  • Dishes should be ready by 3:00 PM for event goers and 4:00 PM for judging
  • Dishes will be scored in three different categories: Flavor, Creativity and Appearance.
  • Judging will be on a scale of 1 to 10 in each category for a possible maximum score of 30. The decision of the judges will be final.
  • In addition, there will be a People’s Choice award. Individuals vote for their favorite by casting money into the appropriate tip jar. The Dish that receives the most money wins. All proceeds will be donated back to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
  • Announcement of the winning team will take place at 5:00 PM.
