Get you some star board, afew brackets SS hardware. Looks like you need a flat panel to cover the area in question.

If ya got a few carpentry skills, some full swing brass hinges and some teak or cypress could make some nice cabinet style doors.

I thought of something like that but I don't want something that would warp

Maybe.......???

Replace the snaps with velcro. They sell velcro with a "sticky" back.

This would be something cheap and easy to try.

Google it, west marine sells it. It works well in boats, matches color somewhat.

chasin'tail 06-30-2012 09:25 PM

It's on eBay, seen it sea foam color ,white, black and a few other colors.

Cut a starboard panel and attach with wing nuts for easy removal

wtretrievers 06-30-2012 09:49 PM

Just leave it open.....I hated the door on mine, always in the when trying to get to something in there

fishfighter 07-03-2012 02:34 PM

less running and more fishing the wind wouldn't blow that thing open:grinpimp:

did you check with sterling's on hwy 90 see what they can do for you?

i would say put an aluminum door with a latch
