Big Lake
 
any tips on fishing big lake? i bought a bay boat and started saltwater fishing this year and havnt had much luck..:help::help:

Find a black Haynie and follow it close. Pull up to him and ask for tips.


Read the reports section and either get a map or take a few guided trips to learn the area.

Stick to the cuts along ship channel to start out. Texaco cut has produced some nice fish. Also, venture over to the cuts into west cove. Once you start learning the areas you'all start finding the reefs and such. Use caution as some places can be quite shallow.

Buy the "Hook and Line" map of Big Lake, it has a TON of information on it.
