Information on Laplace needed

Brother in law and sis in law are in Laplace on the 2nd floor / level of their home, with about 2 feet of water on the inside of the first floor / level. It appears they will wait it out. They have little means of communication. Their phone just started sending text messages.

I am in Pensacola feeding them information, what little I can learn from here. I believe the water came from Lake Ponchatrain, therefore, the water will recide when the wind shifts. Am I correct?

Or is the water from rain, or both.

Trying to figure out when the water will go down

I know the National Guard is all over Laplace, and have informed them of same.

They are at 63 Country Club Drive.

Thank you

They been evac all day in LaPlace. They need to dial 911 if they are in any danger! Searches probably stopped at dark & will continue in morning at first light.

No, not in danger, just trying to figure when the water will go down, when it stops raining, or when the wind shifts, depending on where it is coming from.

Thank you

It appears it is from the Lake, and will start to go down when the wind changes.

That is correct....they had 6"-10" of rain with east-north east winds which pushed Lake Ptrain into Laplace.

Thank you, I saw where you went there yesterday. They are on Country Club Drive, not sure what sub that is. But Brother-n-law says he will wait till water goes down today, and the start the demo to his house. I said, yea right. The water ain't going down till the storm moves on, then will take about another day.

They are in a two story, with provisions. so they are OKay.
