Rented a bunch of movies because we would be indoors all week. Saw this flick and had to get it. Said it won NINE best picture awards:grinpimp: I am serious. Also rented '2012' and 'The Dictator', 2012 is horrible horrible, The Dictator is ridiculous but funny. Anyone know any extras in this film or have some stories about this film? Funny that the characters in the film were 'T-Boy' and 'Pemon':rotfl:

"But I love her Beau......"

And if you watched the movie you just read it out loud in that voice

Yea I've seen it. Pretty good. One of my brothers good friends stars in it. And also lots of local landmarks makes it pretty interesting. A lot of that movie was shot in westlake and up towards white oak on the calcasieu. Pretty neat.

yea...it was alright

it ended abruptly, Pemon got 'blocked' by his daddy. One of the comments was - "I was on the edge of my seat the whole, a must see movie":rotfl: I will watch it again one day:smokin:

My wife's dads boat is in it a couple times. It's not that bad a movie. It's his boat they are on during the fireworks. He helped guide them around the area.

And at the ending credits they how Chenier Rd before and after Rita..

I woulda sworn there were some parts that were filmed at Lake Martin in St Martin Parish, but do you know where most of it was filmed?

Lot was filmed on the calcasieu river and little chenier. Little burns off calcasieu river.

jldsc 08-30-2012 08:47 PM

If you take most of it with a grain of salt it was an ok movie..

I do believe that some of it was filmed in the basin, but not 100% sure.

Very stereotypical! Good buddy of mine was a character.

The priest leading the funeral procession was from Lake Charles. I can't remember his name right now, though.

Most filmed down my road in the lil burns, some more up by white oak, some in the basin also, and little cheniere. They had one other major place but I can't remember.
