We shot the big ones with either a .410 slug or a 30-30. Big = 9 foot or bigger. The rest got the .22 and some of the small ones got the ball pean hammer!

Hollow points are a no no for gators, too many ER visits for shrapnel, .22 mag is what we use, when in doubt choot'em twice but mostly the hole is from a knife afterwards on the big uns. We did have a 10' come alive at the house yesterday after being shot twice with the .22 mag, he got a 9mm target round in the middle of the big town of vinton.

I hear that. I bought a gator hunt last year at one of the CCA banquets and on the first gator I used my Ruger single six with a mag round and spent the rest of the day pulling bone fragments out of my hand. I could only imagine if I had a hollow point in there.

Pushed our poles today. Baiting in the morning, 102 tags to fill,with what we seen hoping to be pulling up Monday.

I go back to workon monday but thewife has a full schedule for me in between as usual!

We saw zero gators the day we baited but they were hungry that night!!!!
