Billystix custom rods vs xmas
 

I just want to let everyone know that i will be closed xmas week it is the only time that i have off all year. I take the last week of nov and all of dec off from my full time job so that i can work on custom rods round the clock and i still do not get done, every year i will have at least 6 or more that is xmas gifts that want get built until jan, and there is nothing i can do to prevent it it's been like this for the past 9 years.
My point is if you are thinking about santa and billystix remember the guys in the lonestar state are going to hit me hard as well so i dont want to have to tell anyone"sorry" i cant help you but it will happen.
I have already recieved more xmas rod builds this year a month earlier than previous years so i dont have a clue what to expect, i may not get another xmas order but most likley i will get probley upwards of 60 or at least this is what i have bought for.

i have both of them built, all that is left to do is to apply the finial finish on the wraps, i should be able to get that done by first part of the week it takes about 4 days to coat the guides.
So it want be long now they turned out nice.

I am at work for another 2 weeks. It sucks to have to work...

BTW billy..... My Dad said Thanks a million for his new STIX... He absolutly loves it... He said that he has never put a rod like it in his hand before..

He brought my Mom fishing, and fished with his new pole for the first time.. He made 2 fishing trips without it because he was scared to scratch it up. Finally i talked to him enough about mine that he decided to bring it. I dont think he will ever go fishing without it again.

let me tell you about my caps, it took me 4 years to find this cap yes it cost me $15 for the cap with the embroidery deal but i will not wear a crap lid so i figure if it has "billystix custom rods" on the lid then it has to wear good be commfy and look good because it reps my work, so i said i will just letummmm out the door at cost cause i am not in the lid bidness but i will tell you this they are fine lids.
