I know some recycle centers you can buy scrap metal, im lookin for some one liter and 2 liter bottles does anyone know if you can buy them from there or are they already smashed?

Your local coke/pepsi/whoever bottler probably has tons of these they throw away. If a bottle touches the ground they go back for recycling. If you call them up and tell them you need them for a school experiment, or study , or project, whatever, they will usually give you all you need. YMMV, but it is pretty easy to get them if you are respectful, they don't care what happens to the bottles.
