I'll probably be down there tomorrow morning. I'll pass by the beach after the hunt if I go. There has been alot of people down there dont know if thats any help or not

Most of the people from Cameron, Creole and Grand CHenier go there instead of Holly Beach.
It is pretty much dead on week days.

I have always found Rutherford beach to always be muddy. I stopped going many years ago. When i used to wade out into the water i was in mud to my ankles and not sand.

Ive seen it fairly clear w north winds blowing last couple years. If u want big reds its the spot for sure...

rutherford has always been my winter spot for very very very large reds. the colder. most of the time, just tossing a cut mullet into the wade gut.

Where is Rutheford beach in relation to Holly beach?

PaulMyers 09-19-2012 05:36 PM

About 30 miles to the East. Actually its about 3 miles West of Oak Grove.

Hwy. 82. Between Cameron and Grand Chenier. Go south on Hwy. 27 from Lake Charles. Don't stop till you get to a T. Then turn right till you see a beach sign. Go South till you hit the beach.

Oak Grove actually goes between the Grand Chenier Bridge and the Y outside Cameron. The beach is right in the middle of Oak Grove. Not a town, just a long road.
