Going to the Weirs!

Gonna head to the weirs for the first time Saturday morning. Can anybody give me pointers on how to get through them? Technique? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Line the snout of the boat up and don't get off the throttle until you are through the cement hole of death. The boats that are violating the law might give you the dirty look but keep going or call La Dept of Wildlife and Fisheries and let them know they are stacked up.;)

Like Rayman said......don't be timid. The water is coming out of the marsh now, so when you approach to boat bay opening you will have to "gun" the engine to get through.

Remember if you have any rods in a holder that are sticking up you need to lay them down before going through the opening.

Line up and go! Those hesitant get into big trouble.
