Traded .45 acp

What do you gun guys think. i traded a Springfield 45 acp mil speck in the 4 inch barrel for a kimber 45 10+1. The Kimber is the 6 inch barrel. My cousin wanted the grips off the springfield b/c they were wood with U.S engraved in them. I think the dude was crazy but hey he knows more about guns then most people. :grinpimp:The springfield is prob 5 years old and maybe a 100 rounds run through it. The kimber is new and has had 20 rounds run through it.

Same thing I told him when he traded. Kimber pretty much $1000 min no matter which gun. Compact springfield GI, maybe $650ish? Cant beat kimber quality either.

I'd never do that trade, I'd keep a kimber! but if your springfield had been worked and had a nicely polished trigger, good night sights and additions that made it close to the value of a kimber I'd consider, but most people who spend hours polishing there 1911's never get rid of em.
