PORT GIBSON, Miss. (AP) — Claiborne County Sheriff Marvin Lucas says his office has recovered tractors, TVs, 4-wheelers, cars and guns reported stolen in three counties dating to 2001.
Lucas tells the Vicksburg Post ( http://bit.ly/Xu***x) that 47-year-old Steven Mark Curtis has been charged with possession of stolen property. Curtis was in the Claiborne County Jail on $48,000 bond.
Lucas says the stash of five Kubota tractors, a dump truck, 12 ATVs, five big-screen TVs, 20 to 25 guns, two cars and several trailers was found between two wooded ridges off Old Port Gibson Road.
Lucas say an investigation of an all-terrain vehicle reported stolen at a hunting camp near Curtis' home about two weeks ago led to the discovery.
Lucas says some of the tractors had been reported stolen in 2008 and 2009.
My Boss had some things stolen by this man. He's going tomorrow to reclaim it. If anyone who hunts in that area of MS had anything stolen I suggest you get with the Sherriff in the area. My boss is supposed to be e-mailing me a link to video and I'm looking for it. I'll post it when I get it.
