shimano solstace 2500

Was at wal-mart earlier and got to playing with a combo it was the 2500 on a 6'6" shimano rod. I was really impressed with it anybody have one? I know alot of you guys are diehard shimano. Thinking of adding it to the christmas list . This will be my first shimano if i pull the trigger

I have always liked the solstice for an entry level shimano. It was my first shimano that I fished with and I still use it. Shimano spinning reels are pretty hard to kill.

Well ive had a mitchell for almost four years now and love it for $20 but the drag isnt as smooth as the shimanos which is why i wanna try it.

I love the Shimanos I have a 4000 Stradic and 2500 stradic spinners and 2 Shimano 200e7 baitcasters...The Stradics are about 5-6 years old and perform as good as new.Two years on the E7s and no problems.
