VB 12/06
Started at various spots in Weeks Bay around 7 a.m. Water beautiful, but only three trout and one ginormous red, measured 43 in., but scale batt was dead so couldn't weigh it, thinking 30+lbs., and released it. All were caught near Little Mud Point. Then tried the Hammock, Cove.....nuttin, nada, etc. Only three trucks at the landing when we launched, but when we got back there were quite a few at both Quintana and Bayou Patout as we passed by. Didn't see that many boats on the water, but obviously, they were somewhere. Wanted to try NE corner of WB where so many good reports were coming from, but no good. Oh well, now back to chasing deer.

Bill, Yesterday I caught two reds at the same spot 20 minutes apart, both 40 inches, 28 lbs. I also picked up 11 trout, threw back about 6 small ones.

It was slow in the cove. I fished from 10a to 4p and only caught 2 trout. They were both nice though. Hardly saw anyone catch today.

12/8/2012- Was slow fishing where Insidiator and I tried. We hit West VB(Boston--> Redfish pt), the Pass and Tee Butte. Caught one of those Super Big Red's (and released), 1 flounder and 1 spec. Didn't see much action happening around us, but I'm sure someone found them. From what we were told we missed them by a day. Overall water was pretty most everywhere.
