If I am filling this site it is only because trout are in thier fall feeding and it could not be hotter.

I was in bed watching the morning news debating if I should get up and put on coffee. It was foggy and all I had to do today was clean the boat and deliver trout fillets. The phone rang. Capt. Will called and said he would wait for me at the dock. "Let's take my boat. It will be ready when you get here." I put on the coffee. Then I put on some cloths and brushed my teeth. Filled my coffee mug and out the door. As I was driving out the driveway I noticed my boat following me. I left it hooked up so I could work on it today and I had to back down the driveway and unhook it. Not a good start. Got to the marina, Grabbed my pole and fish flipper and we were off.

On board was Will, myself, and Mitch his deckhand. With the hot bite and all of us well experienced fishermen it did not take long for the limit to come on board. We just put a basket down and filled it up as we hauled fish on board.

Once it got so full they were jumping all over the deck we dumped it in the 36 contender fishbox.

Before we had our limit Will rigged a multi hook line out of 60 pound test just to see how thick the trout were. I would hate to try to swim through the trout down there.

The trout are still very good size as Mitch proudly shows off one of his fish.

In a little over an hour we were done. We decided to hit a hole for some white trout. Once again we were off to the races. The white trout were not as fast but we were still putting fish in the basket again.

We picked up about 30 of them before calling it quits. Once we cleaned up the boat and organised things it was time for a fish cleaning party. Just get them out of the boat and load onto the table.

Will needed some trout to bring home to his family. He will be heading home tomorrow with a good amount of fish for the freezer and of course a good home comming feast.

On the way home I had to stop and take this picture. From the southern most point in Lousiana. We feel your pain and are with you!

I usually sign off a certain way but today I can't!
