Looking for .17 info!!!

I'm looking to get the 17 caliber rifle. Not sure what brand to go with what I was looking at the savage, Marlin, or Ruger. Any opinions on what type of rifle you shoot would be greatly appreciated. Not looking to break the bank but don't want to spend money on something that's crap.

Savage with the accutrigger! Uncle got one that is a sweet lil rifle. With the mad buying up of .22 rounds I plan on buying one myself.

^^This! Love my stainless Savage! Hornaday ballistic rounds will shoot the pinky nail off a midget at 100 yrds all day long!

Heard some Marlins have problems loading magazines and they were a little loose and people had to keep pressure from the bottom for it load load the bullet properly. Right now I'm between the marlin and savage. Shooters has them both and both with bull barrel.

Have the Ruger, smoked a porcupine at 248 yards with V Max 32 grain. Several of us shot prairie dogs & a couple had the savage, super accurate gun. Money wise the Savage would be my choice.

I have a marlin and a savage, I prefer the savage but no complaints about either. Do yourself a favor and get a good quality scope no matter which one you buy. They are fun to shoot and like everyone else ha said, they are very accurate.

I have an H&R single shot with a bull barrel. I love it. Very accurate and cheap!

I have the Marlin with micro groove barrel... very accurate and no clip problems...
