Hot water heater problems

I have a Rheem electric tankless hot water heater that is giving an error code "11". I turn the hot water on and you can feel it start to warm up and then it goes back to cold. Anybody familiar with this brand or maybe know how to fix this sucker? That water bees cold..

google searched it and it said code 11 is no ignition (i know yours is electric and should be ignited at all times), but im still looking.

That's what's confusing me. I'm gonna go up in the attic in a few and get the model number

While your up there make sure everything is clean and see if you can reset it

model# RTG-74PVN-2

Everything was clean so i turned the power off for five minutes, turned it back on, dropped the temp down to 118 degrees and came test the water. It worked! Texted the wife and told her the good news and turned it on again, and.... now not working again??? HELP!

Update;

The bathroom sink I tested it in the first time worked again but not the kitchen on the other side of the house. What is going on? I may bathe the family in the hall bath sink..or go to Jordans house later when he gets his hooked up!?

Do you just have one water heater

budndawn 02-02-2013 07:20 PM

That model# is a gas water heater
