Mardi Gras Sacs!
A quick solo trip yesterday yielded 16 nice sac-a-lait in the Bayou Black swamp. I found the water conditions to be off just a bit with a brown stain that was not the best to catch sacs. Visibility was only a few inches throughout the canal systems. I found a better quality of water at a couple dead ends where the darker water from the swamp was mixing and thats where I caught my fish. Blue/white tube jigs (1/16 jighead) under a cork around 15 inches did the trick. Also caught 6 or 7 fish on a pink/black tube jig. None of the fish had eggs as I cleaned them up for supper. The next few weeks should be better fishing and I hope the water clears up soon. Good luck fishing.

good report there capt... yea the cold weather coming in this weekend might mess it up a little bit but it sud be on soon.. but my concern is since we had some heavy rain the last few days prolly gonna rise up the water again... so that gonna mess it up for me.
