Do you have access to a lot of ammo in those calibers?
With ammo being hard to find as it is, stick with something that you can find every now and then. My .02

Can't find much of anything these days. Glad I reload for my 223's. I got a good stock pile.

6.8

i have a 6.8 that i bought for hog hunting, haven't killed anything with it yet so not much help for you there, but i can tell you the rounds when they were available were $30 for 20rd, so at $1.50 each it is not a gun to take to the range to just shoot some ammo, hopefully i can let you know something after this weekend on killing hogs with it

I've got a stag model 7 in 6.8. Love it but ammo isn't cheap such as the 223 or 7.62x39. It is a tack driver and easy on the recoil. In addition to a new upper you will have to change the bolt. Also a regular 223 magazine will not feed 6.8 bullets. If you wanting to change calibers for your gun consider a 300blackout. If I remember correctly they can use the same bolt and magazine, just need a barrel.
