Catching Flounder
Ok, so I have been a trout and red fisherman all my life and occasionally caught a flounder here and there...How do you target flounder? What do you throw and how do you work it? What do you look for?

Mud or sandy bottom. Bull minows or artificial you can use gulp swimming mullet. Charteuse seems to do really well.you can also tip a few of your lures with a strip of cut bait. I drag mine across the bottom slowly. I pull back and reel down. I dont like reeling it across the bottom as i dont feel the bite or the.bottom as well. I like.to fish grassy banks. Tried fishing the ship channel ledges but never could figure out the technique or locate them. Hope that helps

Think bass fishing. More of a finesse fishing. I target banks with a nice shallow shelfs. Watch the tide and fish off points on the down stream side. I typically throw gulp swimming mullet on 1/4oz lead head. Fish slow, lightly bouncing across bottom. Thank my take on it, but I'm not a pro.
