7'6" spinning rod?

I wanna pick up another spinning rod. The two i have now are both 6'6" and do good. Thinking of making the jump to a 7'6". No particular reason just wanna try one. Looking for a split grip and will do nicely with a 2000-2500 size reel with 10-20 lb braid. Has anybody notoced a loss of sensitivity due to the extra length?

You should increase sensitivity with length if most everything else is equal (action), this is not based on my rod knowledge or experience though - just thinking along the lines of leverage,

Ask Ray, he has a couple of the longer spinning rods.

My brother fishes a custom 8'6'' rod and loves it. Casts forever woth little weight and keep tension on the hook with little effort. Go for it!

I just put a 2000 battle on a TFO 7'6" ML I got for cheap cheap, fantastic set up.

I fish longer rods and enjoy them. They give more leverage and help to make longer casts. Only real problem is the hassle of dealing with them in the boat and home. They are almost to long for my rod box and carrying them in and out of the house, storing them etc you have to remember they are long. I have 8' ceilings in the room I keep all my rods, tackle etc and I store my rods verticle to save room these rods are almost to tall to store that way. Have to be careful carrying them out or you hit things. Otherwise I like them.

Storage was another concern. I store mine inside and vertical as well. Gotta go look at some Monda. Hopefully LCT has some in stock
