Just watch the washout area itself. Other than that, should be fine. Been across there many time for the past 30 years with no problem.

Washout is the area south of the island with the old "steam engine" behind it to the south bank.

Supercut used to be the very north cut going into Big Lake on the East side of the channel. I say used to because the little island between the "shell island", pipeline signs, is gone now. I guess it is all now 9 mile.

Question, why is 9 mile called 9 mile?? I can't remember.

One more hurricane and it will just be one big opening down there. It is amazing how much bigger the "opening" have gotten in the 15 years that I have been fishing Big Lake.

Storms and the huge ships that make huge waves. It's all going away everyday.
