My roommate, teammate and best friend in college lives and coaches in Waco. I haven't herd back from him yet, I pray that he's ok and that I hear from him soon.
The video is shocking. Words can't deacribe it really. It amazing how fast life changes for a lot of folks.
God bless all those involved.

He should be fine in Waco, west is 20 or more miles from Waco. There were news crews setup out the outside of West and there was no damage there.

Poor little girl, feel bad for her.

I didn't realize that they had a fire and then an explosion. I see why so many firefighters and first repsonders were hurt.

God Bless those folks!!

I think that was a little boy actually, IDK.

Last I checked they were saying possible 15 dead and a few missing. Firefighters mostly, they were fighting the fire when it exploded.

They also had an explosion at Exxon Mobil in Beaumont yesterday. Heard contractors were welding on a line that wasnt cleared, lost of people got burnt on that one.

A Uhaul truck full of fertilizer destroyed the federal building in Oklahoma City. This was a plant full of it. People laugh and say "ban fertilizer" but I think they did put strict controls on its sale after Oklahoma city.

whunter29 04-18-2013 11:38 AM

I have heard that fertilizer was being made less explosive since Ok city bombing. It sure didn't look less explosive last night!

SULPHITE 04-18-2013 04:10 PM

a guy i work with's neice lives in those apartments...her and her husband went to church right before the fire and explosion... their apartments...they gone.

dont know how long it was on fire before it exploded, but to me when it went up in flames my a** would have gotten as far away as possible.

Goooh 04-18-2013 04:43 PM

Buddy said he heard the VFD was trying to put out a small ammonium nitrate fire with water... Not a great idea
