Looking at property around Big Lake and have a question. Looking at buying vs. building a camp at Big Lake. Does anyone have an idea the cost of building a 3 bedroom camp with an extended pier with boathouse? Also, does anyone recommend any contractors? Advice on building vs buying would be appreciated.

With elevation/storm and construction codes, you can look at $600K for property, building cost in the blink of an eye!

Not sure what the current market is for sales right now, it's been awhile since I had some news on the market for waterfront property.

There was an auction yesterday for a 3 bedroom camp on Big Lake in Deatonville. It went for $675,000.

But depending and what you want, you can build for much less. Try Pintail Construction. He builds a lot of camp in Hackberry and they sell cheap.
