5/4 Prien

Decided to sleep in this morning and got on the water around 1030 with the ol lady. Headed to turners before the wind switched up and made a drift with no bites so decided to head north. I noticed the wind picking up so we found a spot out of the wind and staked it out for a little while. Ground was visible through the water in 1-2 ft. Ended up with 5 flounder and 2 reds.

Where did you find clear water? I fished from the Citgo turnaround up to contraband bayou and it was stained all the way. Picked up a few flounders as well. Tough day fishing but my 8 year old hung in like a champ!

Further South, gotta find the clean water under the dirty water check your propwash. If you can find some clean water under the surface when running you can find clean water in well protected areas or deep down towards the bottom. When I say clean water I don't me gin clear, but water that is significantly cleaner.

LOL.....I never thought of doing that. I'm still learning the salt game.....I'm more used to 2' deep freshwater marshes where dirty water usually isn't an issue UNTIL you get prop wash.

Good tip! Thanks!
