Snapper Season Update

The FEDS have caved to pressure and have granted a 28 day season just like last year. Is this the end - NO! Is this what the fishery needs - NO!

But 28 days is better off than 9. I would like him to get in front of a Congressional panel and answer how he compiles his data and what agenda he is working off of. And when I say "he", I mean old numb nuts Dr. Roy Crabtree.

They go to 9 day season in retaliation for the state season out 10NM, then go to a 28 day season when we start pushing a bill to outlaw all possession, sale, and harvest of any red snapper. Just seems like someone in the commercial or resturant industry took old Crabtree out on the town and said "hey listen Roy, you just PO's a bunch of Cajuns and they are getting ready to shut us down unless you let them catch some more fish". So he replied "Ok, I'll give them the saem short season as last year and that should calm them down".

What an idiot!

snapper are easier to catch than bream, I don't see the reason for such short seasons and small limits... Every time I've been out, we had our limit in our first two casts... DUMB!

I'll step out on this limb and state that Louisiana should tell them to hug a root.
CCA is working with D.C. to return management back to the states and I believe we are going to get something accomplished very soon. The buracrats have no stats to back up any of there claims on snapper/triggers. This is Big Gooberment pointy heads making laws without the facts. Craba$$ should be taken out and horse whipped so errybodyelse who wants to act Stupid will see what happens when gooberment over-reaches.

Raymond I agree with almost everything. they do not need to hug a root they need to sit on the root.
