What would you do "tagged red edition"

“It is not about the prize to me; it is all about the competition and challenging yourself. So for the good of CCA, I am giving it back and hopefully an angler that needs it more than me will get lucky and catch the next tagged redfish,” said Guidry. “And this way, I can still compete for the Trout Division which has been my goal for a long time.” This guy gave up a truck in exchange for nothing, just for the chance to "try" and win the trout division. |
How about try for the trout division next year!

I didn't realize that if you won the truck, it eliminated you from the rest of the tournament. That's the way I read the article anyways. The man is serious about that trout division. You can't fault him for his dedication. I hope he catches a hog that puts him on top of the leaderboard. If anything CCA may give him a nice consolation prize.

Had a guy in LC few years back that sold the truck back to the dealership and took the pay out. Then I guess you can buy the boat you want.

I wonder if his wife knows he just threw away 20 grand!

Makes you wonder...what kind of a prize would it have taken for him NOT continue to the trout division!
